Our commitment to the Black Lives Matter movement

The Black community has been huge supporters of Curvy Couture, and today and always we stand with our communities! 

Every month for the rest of the year we’ll be donating a % of sales to an organization committed to the black lives matter movement.  Check back monthly to stay updated! 

December

Selfless, life-changing, caring. Shirley Raines of Beauty 2 The Streetz is making a difference in our city.  She's a makeup, hygiene & essential services for the homeless of Skidrow, CA. In addition to our % donation, we're giving 170+ panties for the people of Skidrow to have. Donate to help here

The Conscious Kid is a non-profit that equips parents and educators with tools they can use to support racial identity development, critical literacy, and equitable practices in their homes and classrooms. They also offer rent relief for Covid-19 effected families during this time. Read more about them here

October

The Sisters Network Inc is the only national African American breast cancer survivorship organization in the United States and a leading voice in the fight against breast cancer in the African American community.

This month we're donating $1 for every purchase in October 2020 to the Sisters Network COVID-19 Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP). This program was specifically created to provide financial support to breast cancer survivors impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic and also pays for mammograms for underserved women who cannot afford to pay for a mammogram or that do not have health insurance.

Color of Change is the largest online racial justice organization in the country. We're helping them fight to end the war on Black people in our country. Read more about them here

LoveLand Foundation is committed to showing up for communities of color in unique and powerful ways, with a focus on Black women and girls. Read more about them here

July 

This July, we donated to Black Lives Matters Los Angeles.  Black Lives Matters first chapter started right here, in Los Angeles.  Learn more about their fight for Black Freedom here. 

June 

For the month of June, we’re donating to the Marsha P Johnson InstMarsha, a black transgender woman, helped lead the fight for the modern gay rights movement in 1969. Learn more about the mission of MPJI here

We also teamed up with the Los Angeles LGBT Center to create a helpful guide on inclusivity & how to be an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community. We also donated over 2K bras and panties to their homeless youth program.  Watch our IGTV video
