On June 16th & 17th, in attendance with Curvy Couture team Evora & Summer, Plus Model Tinder Badhesha and Brand Ambassador Alysse Dalessandro of Ready To Stare, we engaged with hundreds of bloggers and style influencers across the plus community at the two day inaugural The Curvy Con, located in the beautiful space “Metropolitan Pavilion West” alongside Chelsea Piers in New York City.

Getting the perfect fit with Curvy Couture
It was amazing to be surrounded by women expressing their individuality through fashion rocking bright colors, bold prints and current trends without fearing judgment or negativity. There was enough confidence and feeling of a strong sense of sisterhood in to fill 100 football fields!

“I had so much fun as the brand ambassador for Curvy Couture at CurvyCon! For me, it was an amazing opportunity to not only introduce attendees to one of my favorite brands but to also help women find the right bra for them. I know before I linked up with the Curvy Couture team I was totally wearing the wrong bra size and learning to do fittings and being a part of the Curvy Couture team completing fittings at CurvyCon was a full circle experience for me. We measured hundreds of women for bras at the two-day event and quite a few of them were wearing the wrong size. Helping them find their size and also sharing my favorite Curvy Couture pieces was extremely rewarding. I'm happy to know that a few more plus size babes will enjoy the everyday foundation comfort that I have come to love and expect from Curvy Couture because they met us at CurvyCon.”

“What I enjoyed the most was interacting with the women who came to the booth! Helping them understand how their boobs look, how their posture, and their silhouette looks and letting them know that they have options, that they don't have to live like the way they have been; they don't have to just settle for what's out there, that they can find a bra that will work for them. I loved the fact that they were just happy to know their correct bra size, the time everyone took to tend to their questions and concerns, and the few who actually tried on a CC bra and it fit, and the look on their faces and how their eyes sparkled and their smiles grew, that was really special. Whenever we had a success at the booth, and there were many, it made all the hard work worth it. I also loved the fact that there was a sisterhood vibe at Curvy Con. I didn't feel like anyone was in competition with anyone, everyone was supportive and encouraging and welcoming; and it was nice to see that a lot of people knew about Curvy Couture and were actually excited to experience in person these amazing bras everyone has been talking about and modeling.”

The heart and soul of our social platforms has always been community focused. Our CEO and Designer Dora Lau has been designing intimates with the Curvy woman in mind for 30 years! Her love and passion for this industry is reflected in our collections. My goal is to ensure that this love and passion is brought to life through Social Media. I also hope that it resonates with the customers that support and celebrate Curvy Couture.
Planning and sponsoring The Curvy Con in NYC for two years has been one of the most notable and memorable experiences for me, personally. Bringing the brand to life, supported by other members of the team is so great!
Wear what you want, stay supported underneath. Investing in your intimates is the best thing you can do for YOU.
Confidence is the sexiest thing a woman can wear!
